Why algae omega-3 instead of fish oil?
Fish don't produce EPA and DHA omega-3s. They accumulate them by eating marine algae. This formula goes straight to the source, skipping the middleman. No fish smell, and none of the marine contaminants that build up along the food chain.
EPA and DHA fatty acids support skin and coat health, and help reduce itching in dogs with sensitive skin. They also contribute to joint comfort and cognitive function at every age.
My dog is allergic to fish. Can he take this?
Yes. Our omega-3s come entirely from marine algae, with no animal-derived ingredients. This formula exists precisely for dogs sensitive to fish. As with any new supplement, if your dog has diagnosed allergies, speak with your veterinarian before starting.
Will it give my dog fishy breath?
No. Fishy smell comes from marine oils oxidizing on contact with air, a problem specific to bottles opened daily. Our omega-3s are sealed in a capsule and never meet the air before being swallowed. No smell on his breath, on your fingers, or on the counter.
How should the capsules be stored?
In a cool, dry place away from direct light. Close the container well after each use and avoid extreme temperatures (heat or cold). No refrigeration needed, unlike bottled fish oil which oxidizes from the first opening.
How long before I see a difference in his coat?
After 2 weeks, you will see a noticeable difference in the softness of his coat, provided you have given the required number of capsules daily.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, omega-3s are suitable for all life stages: puppies, adults and seniors.
Is it compatible with other supplements?

I’m always looking for ways to support my dogs' coats and joint health, and these Omega-3 capsules are a solid, straightforward way to do that. The packaging arrived in perfect condition with no leaks or issues, which is always a relief with oil-based supplements.I have two dogs, and I’ll be honest—neither one of them considers these a "treat" on their own. If I just offer the capsule, they aren't interested. To get them to actually take the supplement, I have to coat them in peanut butter or hide them in a high-value snack. If your dogs are picky eaters, you’ll definitely want to have a delivery method ready to go.These are true capsules filled with a dark, oily liquid. A word of caution: be careful when giving them to your dog to chew. If a capsule happens to break or get punctured, that black oily liquid is quite messy. If it gets on your carpet, it is definitely a challenge to get out. I’d recommend giving these to your dogs over a hard floor or mixed directly into their food bowl to avoid any stains.Despite the need for a little peanut butter "persuasion," these are a great way to ensure my dogs are getting their necessary Omega-3s. The quality of the oil seems high, and the capsule format is much cleaner than pumping oil out of a messy bottle onto their food every morning.It’s a high-quality supplement that does exactly what it's supposed to do. Just be prepared for a bit of "pill-hiding" and keep them away from the rug!
